SEATTLE - Style By Wendy  is a small, local business that offers professional fashion styling, personal shopping, and closet cleanings, empowering women to look their best and exude confidence every day. I connected with Wendy Petersen after developing an event proposal for her for a writing class.

The Radius Group - Multiple Positions,  2012 - 2015

NASHVILLE - The Radius Group is a faith-based nonprofit that partners churches with ministries and charities through summer camps. Camps are hosted in Aurora, IL, Nashville, St. Louis, Charlotte, Auburn, and Melbourne, FL. and uniquely pair traditional camp (games, speaking sessions, etc.) with local missions and community outreach.

UT Department of Housing -  Multiple Positions, August 2013 - May 2016

KNOXVILLE - The University of Tennessee's Department of Housing lies within the Division of Student Life. In addition to providing convenient housing for students, it  introduces and connects students to various resources, campus offices, outlets, recreation, and  more. Each residence hall employs hall directors with advanced degrees in higher education and students that maintain order in the building, develop fun and educational programming, and equip students with valuable life skills.

Nashville Chrysalis Community - Board of Directors, Webmaster & Communication, February 2015 - Present

NASHVILLE  - Chrysalis is Christian ministry that caters to 15-25-year-old men and women. In a retreat-esque setting, participants learn Biblical truth and how to apply it to their lives. The board of directors is responsible for coordinating all weekends, outreach events, finances, community relations and communication, leadership recruitment and more.

  • Creating new contact database to develop and publish monthly newsletter

Dean's Civility Council - Founding Member, Fall 2014 -  Spring 2016

KNOXVILLE - In September of 2014, UT lost a football game to the University of Florida and the lack of sportsmanship among students led to many conversations with a friend about our campus culture. Together, we presented a detailed plan to Dean of Students Melissa Shivers and Vice Chancellor of Student Life Vincent Carilli to begin slowly recreating the culture at UT.  From that point on, about 30 students gathered each month to brainstorm and discuss ways to begin improving and moving forward.  
  • Brainstorm ways to recreate the culture of the University of Tennessee
  • Develop video concepts, landmarks, and other materials to promote diversity, inclusion, and civility at UT
  • Correspond with administration, deans, and leaders of various student groups to gain support and buy-in
